RAILDATE - your free weekly guide to what's happening, what's new and what's on
One of the pleasures of doing Raildate for the best part of 25 years is the people I've met
along the way. One such was John Hillmer of Wilmslow, Cheshire, who was a photographer and
author of several books (many with Paul Shannon) about the railways of north-west England and
north Wales. It was therefore with great sadness that I learned of his death a week ago due to
an accident from which he did not recover. RIP John.
